Visa Hunter’s Notes on the Brazil Visa
I love Brazil. Next to the United States, it is my favorite country in the world. However, when it comes to visa processes it has to rank as one of my least favorite. Why you may ask? I cannot understand why a country like Brazil, the world’s sixth largest economy, cannot have streamlined, standard, easy-to-understand visa processes.
As an example, if you are applying for a visa for Brazil at the consulate in Atlanta, GA, you often need a different set of required documents if you are applying at the Brazil Consulate in New York City. I just don’t understand how one country can have such non-uniformity.
But, alas, once you get your Brazil visa and make it down to the likes of Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo, or Salvador, the hard-won effort will be well worth the time (and price!).
